In December 2001, TERRA received the "Better Workplace Award" from the Association of Washington Business (AWB). TERRA earned the award in the category of Job Training and Advancement Programs and was the only employer recognized in the small employer (fewer than 25 employees) category.
AWB serves as the state's Chamber of Commerce and represents 3,700 member organizations employing more than 600,000 workers.
"We are honored by this recognition from such a well-respected organization as AWB," says Steve Neighbors, CEO. "Our chief aim is to assist our clients in creating better workplaces through hiring and retaining staff members who will make a strong contribution in their companies. It only makes sense that we should practice what we preach by creating a healthy workplace in our own firm."
