Jenifer Lambert, Vice President of TERRA Resource Group was interviewed today on KUOW/NPR’s “The Conversation.” In this interview, Jenifer debates proposed paid family leave legislation currently being considered by the Washington State Legislature. “There’s no doubt that it’s challenging for employees to juggle work and family responsibilities. The problem with paid family leave is that the costs are misrepresented and grossly underestimated. Furthermore, it creates an additional cost to doing business in this state which reduces our competitiveness. Employers need flexibility in finding solutions to the needs of their workforce, not one-size-fits-all mandates,” Jenifer explains.
