Buyer (II And Senior) | Direct Hire | Up To $112k

An Aerospace and Electronics company known globally for being a true industry leader with their cutting-edge innovation is growing and is looking to add a fulltime, permanent Buyer II and Senior Buyer to their team.

It is an exciting time to join the team as they are working on new projects including components for electric aircrafts and aviation, and a recently developed proximity sensor using a new technology that will support a wide range of aerospace customer applications.

This is an ideal opportunity for an someone with previous procurement experience in Aerospace, Electronics, or other manufacturing settings to join a great team with uncapped potential for growth and development. 

Buyer II & Senior Buyer Responsibilities:

  • Perform material requirements planning through high interaction/coordination with manufacturing personnel and external suppliers to support the value stream
  • Communicate priorities and schedule changes to outside processing suppliers daily to support changes in production requirements
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers and communicate common supplier problems with leadership, procurement specialists, and other buyers
  • Improve supplier fill rates, quality, and lead times to fit product mix and needs
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies on a timely basis
  • Manage supplier quality through the non-conforming report (NCR) process; minimize production impact by ensuring discrepant materials are addressed with manufacturing engineering, procurement quality, supervisors, and suppliers
  • Additional responsibilities for Senior Buyer

Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday, day shift
  • Hybrid schedule with the ability to work from home 2 days per week

Buyer II & Senior Buyer Qualifications:

  • BA or BS (preferably in Supply Chain, Business, or Materials-related field) preferred but not required  
  • Minimum of 2-3+ years buying / procurement experience in a manufacturing setting (5+ years for Senior Buyer)
  • MRP, Kanban, and Min/Max experience
  • Proven ability to work cross functionally in a team environment

Compensation:

  • Buyer II: $76,000 - $95,000
  • Senior Buyer: $89,000 - $112,000
