The HR Leaves & Benefits Specialist will oversee, administer and communicate all aspects of the benefits and leaves processes for the organization including (but not limited to!):

  • Workers Compensation and ADA Accommodations
  • FMLA 
  • Benefits open enrollment
  • COVID support benefits
  • Participation in the Wellness Committee  

Your work will have a direct impact on supporting and enhancing the health, well-being and quality of benefits options for all employees of the organization!

 HR Leaves & Benefits Specialist key responsibilities:

  • Manage leave administration, workers compensation and job accommodation processes 
  • Develop processes to track employee leaves and provide regular status updates to organization
  • Serve as point of contact for employees who are facing the need to take a leave, experience a workplace injury or need an ADA accommodation.
  • Inform all employees of their available benefits and ensure offerings for leave and ADA are accessible and clear.

HR Leaves & Benefits Specialist Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of recent experience administering Leaves/Job Accommodations/Workers Compensation Benefits
  • Advanced computer proficiency and skill working with MS Office Suite
  • Solid knowledge of state and federal laws related to leave of absence and disability accommodation in an employment setting
  • Track record of success maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion in business communications
  • Experience working with HRIS system

It's a BIG plus if you have:

  • Experience in a non-profit and/or social justice organization

Location:  Downtown Seattle - schedule offers flexibility to work from home 2 days per week

Compensation: $80K (+DOE) with truly exceptional benefits!
