As an Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer, you will apply knowledge of materials and engineering theory and methods to design, integrate, and improve manufacturing systems or related processes to increase product manufacturability and cost effectiveness.
Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities Include:
- Study, analyze and design methods, procedures, processes, layouts, fixtures, and tooling as relevant to meet job objectives
- Identify and recommend resolutions for existing or imminent manufacturing problems
- Investigate, prepare, and recommend manufacturing cost reduction and product improvement programs
- Participate in the review and evaluation of product design changes
- Coordinate with support groups to ensure manufacturability, process capabilities and capacities are developed to support new products
- Coordinate 3P schedules and establish Standard Operating Procedures
- May develop manufacturing operating instructions or procedures and may train assemblers and operators in machine operations, processes, or assembly applications
- May coordinate with vendors and customers during assignments
Aerospace Manufacturing Manager Skills & Experience Required:
- Requires 1+ year experience in Manufacturing Engineering or related area
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering equivalent combination of education and directly related experience
- Knowledge of manufacturing methods, techniques, equipment and processes, raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques
- Experience with design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans blueprints, drawings, and models
- Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma tools is required
- CAD proficiency/design background is a plus
Salary: $75K+ DOE
