A high-volume retail distributor of equipment and cargo trailers is looking for an experienced Logistics Analyst to join them in growing and cultivating a culture of operational sales and service excellence.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with high attention to detail, the Logistics Analyst will manage trailer inventory levels, initiate, and track shipments, communicate with suppliers and company managers.
You will be responsible for reconciling automated data entry to actual shipments, and occasionally manually entering warranty data into the logistics system for 9 branches (and growing) in WA and OR.
The company has recently been acquired by an ownership group who are looking to grow the brand and the people in the company. You will report to the company president, who is looking to provide strong mentorship as you work together to build a company centered around the success of the employees.
Logistics Analyst Responsibilities:
- Strategically forecast inventory requirements, place orders based on lead times
- Manage shipments adhering to carrier qualification requirements and DOT industry regulations
- Maintain reliable communications with carriers, suppliers, and internal DRT teams regarding changes in pick-up and delivery schedules
- Anticipating and resolving issues such as time demands, route and weather delays, unplanned accessorial charges, and delayed or damaged shipments
- Building and maintain new quality working relationships with reliable carriers to successfully move freight at an advanced-level service expectation.
- Negotiate rates with carriers to obtain the best possible rate in the marketplace for each load moved.
- Review carrier credentials to ensure they meet compliance requirements
Logistics Analyst Qualifications:
- Three years of experience in logistics – a fundamental interest and enjoyment of logistics and the desire to develop skills in a logistics career
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues
- Strong analytical skills and advanced MS Office proficiency
- Power BI experience
- Data entry and data analysis skills
Compensation: $65K+ DOE
