IT Help Desk Technician

A market leading manufacturing company is currently seeking a Contract IT Help Desk Technician to join their team for the next 3 months.

 For over 120 years this brand has become a world-leading innovator and well-known for their design and manufacturing of solutions that improve the safety, efficiency, reliability, and branding of products and components for a variety of industries.

 As an IT Help Desk, you will be responsible for the management of user issues, including issue identification, troubleshooting, resolution, and user follow-up. resolving moderately complex issues immediately and escalating highly complex problems to the appropriate person.

 
IT Help Desk Responsibilities:

  • Provides excellent end-user support to business stakeholders for business systems and periodically conducts training classes on specific application software and processes
  • Leverage Vendors to test and coordinate resolution of issues and support user adoption by executing effective change management 
  • Maintain structured cabling systems, telecom systems, WAN, LAN, cellular/DAS, Wireless Networks and local Internet, remote access, VPNs, and connectivity protocols 
  • Support multiple systems of medium to high complexity (complexity defined by size, technology used, and system feeds and interfaces) with multiple concurrent users, ensuring control, integrity, and accessibility 
  • Diagnoses and resolves complex hardware, software, and connectivity problems 
  • Works as the technical liaison between IT and Business teams, providing critical operational insight to upcoming implementations and strategies, including validation of ongoing solutions supportability 
  • Monitors system-operating capacity in terms of (e.g., disk space, storage, and CPU utilization) 
  • Recommends changes/enhancements for improved systems and assists the Manager of IT in developing SLAs and various KPIs?


IT Help Desk Qualifications:

  • 2+ years’ experience working in a networked environment, supporting multiple applications
  • Strong Proficiency with VMware, Citrix, Microsoft, Nimble, Mitel 5000, Active Directory, VDI, ADTRAN, Palo Alto
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills with a non-technical audience
  • Self-motivated, with ability and initiative to accomplish goals independently
  • Friendly, positive, and team-oriented personality
  • Excellent analytical abilities with the ability to detect issue patterns and propose resolution for frequent issues

Location: Wilsonville, OR

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 – 5:00pm

Pay: $30+/hourly depending on experience
