TERRA Helped Me Find a Job Where My Skills Are Valued – I’ve Already Been Promoted

With more than 15 years of warehouse experience under his belt, Chris Lyon was looking for a job that offered a chance at upward mobility.

Rather than search for a new job on his own, Chris decided to partner with a staffing service. He knew from previous experience that a staffing firm could help him find the right fit. And the first agency he called was TERRA.

According to Chris, “When everyone else is saying there’s nothing out there, TERRA seems to have all the connections for the best available jobs.”

He had worked with members of TERRA’s Everett office before and had built great relationships with Patty Stoddard, Santana Grayson, Katie Jones, and Cristal Olberg. So he reached out to them.

The Everett team was able to place Chris on various assignments, and he proved himself a motivated worker, time and again. But he needed more out of the work he was putting in. “I wanted to do more with tools, and I wanted to advance up the ladder. It was time.”

The Everett team never gave up on finding Chris the right fit. The next role they were able to find for him was a temp-to-hire position in a warehouse facilities maintenance department.

This role was different for Chris. It offered him the opportunity to do more and learn more skills.

And we are happy to report that just five months into his new role, Chris was hired on as a full-time, regular employee! Not only that, he’s been promoted to Facilities Maintenance Supervisor! He loves his job, and he loves being able to utilize different skills every day.
