Patty Stoddard

Branch Manager, Everett

Patty came to TERRA in 2012 with an impressive background in hospitality and retail management. She has worked in multiple branches as a high-performing recruiter and in 2016 was promoted to Branch Manager of TERRA’s Everett office.

Patty is the proud mother of four, mostly grown, kids. She enjoys road trips, big, noisy family get-togethers, action movies and rom-coms, and absolutely loves, loves, LOVES to bake!


Tell me about your first job

I worked at S&L Ice Cream Parlor in Butte, MT. This was a very small (tiny!), family-owned business – and the family had SIXTEEN kids, so just getting hired there was an accomplishment!

This was a gateway to a career in the hospitality industry. I joined a privately-owned, upscale restaurant company when I was 19 as an assistant hostess, and I was instantly hooked! I was there for over 12 years and worked my way to being a Senior Training Manager.

What other professions would you like to try?

Personal chef for someone with a large budget and a palate for comfort food. 🙂

If you could possess any super power, what would it be?

To be able to speak any and all languages! What an awesome power it would be!

What do you enjoy most about working in the staffing industry?

I love that no two days are ever the same! And, in the process of doing my job, I get to learn about so many different companies and industries.

Best career advice you’ve ever received?

Hard to choose just one! So many wonderful leaders have shared so many pearls of wisdom. Perhaps, “It doesn’t matter how many times you fail. What matters is that you try again.”
