Taylor Doherty
Branch Manager, Lakewood
Before beginning her career at TERRA in 2022, Taylor was managing multiple store locations for a drugstore chain exclusive to WA.
Despite having worked her way up into a management role from a cashier position, she wasn’t sure it was the right long-term fit for her. Her job was in located in an unsafe area and she decided it was time for something new.
After all, what she loved most about her job, she realized, could be done in any industry—working with people. Shortly after, she joined TERRA’s Kirkland, WA team as a Recruiter.
Since then, Taylor has been promoted twice, once to Everett Staffing Manager and most recently to Branch Manager of our Lakewood, CO branch office.
More About Taylor
When she’s not working, Taylor loves to be adventurous, whether that is hiking, skiing, or going on long drives.
Fun Fact: Taylor has been known to make a 13-hour trip to Montana from Washington (and back!), just for a huckleberry milkshake! All thanks to her love for driving.

Tell me about your first job.
My first job was a part-time, swing shift cashier at Bartell Drugs. I would get out of school and then head to work for 6 hours, 5 days a week. My favorite part was building displays for new or advertised products and getting to tell a story that inspired people to grab the item off the shelf.
What other professions would you like to try?
I have always had a fantasy about getting my CDL and being a long haul trucker! Or opening an animal rescue! Or a racecar driver…..I don’t know how realistic any of those are, but I think adventure is definitely an important part of any profession I am in for the rest of my life.
If you could possess any super power, what would it be?
Invisibility!
What do you enjoy most about working in the staffing industry?
Every day is an adventure. I constantly feel like I’m behind the scenes on an episode of “How Its Made”—and I get to change lives every day!
Best career advice you’ve ever received?
People are not perfect. You are a person, so you are not perfect. And that is OKAY!
