TERRA Found Me Exactly What I Was Looking and I Couldn’t Be Happier

Aaliyah Williams was a customer service professional who was looking to take her skills and transition into an office setting.

An online search of administrative jobs led her to TERRA’s Seattle office, where she met with Recruiter, Michelle Reyes.

Aaliyah told Michelle about her desire to find an office job that would allow her to utilize her customer service skills, and how she was concerned she wouldn’t be able to find such a job.

But she didn’t have to worry.

Michelle explained, “I just so happened to have a customer service-oriented front desk position available that had come in that morning.” It was an Assistant Manager role with a property management company in Seattle.

Michelle set Aaliyah up with an interview, and what came next was a total shock to Aaliyah.

According to her, “Michelle called me back the same day as the interview to say that I was offered the position. I was so apprehensive about the job seeming too good to be true that I almost turned it down on reflex. Almost like, ‘you’re kidding me, right?’” She laughed.“Thank goodness I didn’t because it turned out to be a wonderful opportunity!”

This position allows Aaliyah the type of day-to-day communication with people she craved, but in an office setting. Aaliyah said, “I love interacting with residents and helping people find homes in Seattle. It’s not just desk work. Michelle found me the exact type of position I was looking for!”

Aaliyah had never worked with a staffing firm before and didn’t know what to expect. But she is incredibly happy with the results. “I’ve been recommending TERRA to everyone!” she said.

She especially wanted to thank Michelle. “She was extremely helpful! The fact that Michelle called me back the same day as the interview was the last thing I ever would have expected. I’m so glad I applied!”

And we know her new employer is glad she applied, too. Not only did they hire her on as a full-time, regular employee, she was a given a pay bump! The client shared, “Aaliyah is a great first point of contact for our guests. She learns quickly and isn’t afraid to ask questions.”
