TERRA Worked with Me and Helped Me Find a Job That Allows Me to Provide for My Family

When Anthony Holme’s wife received a great job offer in Western Washington, they knew they couldn’t turn it down – even if that meant Anthony having to leave behind his career at a steel foundry. Moving was in the best interest of his family. And Anthony is first and foremost a family man and provider.

But he knew it would not be easy for him.He had worked at the steel foundry for five years. He knew all the ins and outs of the industry. And more than that, he loved his job. Moving meant possibly having to start from the bottom again.

After the move, he was in need of help finding work, so he turned to TERRA’s Tacoma office. Though Anthony had a vision of the type of work he wanted long-term, he knew that it was important for him (and his family) that he earn some steady income.

The Tacoma team jumped in to help. Scott Mantz, Recruiter, Liliana Zamudio, Staffing Specialist, and Teresa McGowan, Staffing Specialist, placed Anthony in several different warehouse roles, but none of them seemed to be the right fit.

And then Teresa told him about a temp-to-hire opportunity with a company that dealt with the wholesale distribution of HVAC equipment and supplies.It was not an area that Anthony was familiar with, but he accepted the job.

And he’s glad he did. The job wound up being everything he wanted and more! The job offered growth potential, a schedule that fit well with his home life, a great work environment – and a 10-minute commute!

Less than two months later, he was hired on as a full-time, regular employee!

Anthony raved about his new work environment, “There’s a team effort. Each night, everyone offers to help everyone. The camaraderie reminds me of the steel foundry.”

Unlike his unimpressive experiences with other staffing firms, Anthony was really pleased with TERRA. He shared, “TERRA worked with me, showing a terrific effort!”

He went on to give thanks. “Teresa, Liliana, and Scott were each 100% helpful! They all deserve a raise!”

Anthony couldn’t be happier. “I’ve finally found my second home!”
