Thank You TERRA – I Love My New Job and Couldn’t Have Asked for a Better Staffing Experience

Kristy Smith relocated from West Texas to Washington in September 2016.

Once here, she began her job search by looking up staffing agencies in Tacoma, even though she had never worked with a staffing agency before.

She was seeking a foot-in-the-door opportunity – one that she could make a career out of.

Kristy came across TERRA and scheduled a meeting with the Tacoma office.

She met with Scott Mantz, Recruiter, and discussed her aspirations with him. Kristy also told him about her more than 5 years of customer service, office support and purchasing experience.

Scott said, “My first impression of Kristy was that she was someone who knew what she wanted to do in life. She was very smart and precise in her answers to my questions. She also had a warm personality and a calm presence. I immediately thought of a few clients who would be interested in seeing her resume.”

The Tacoma team was able to place her in a role not long after her initial interview, but a few months into the role, it turned out to not be the best fit for Kristy.

Scott went right to work trying to find another opportunity that was a better fit for her – and succeeded!

He placed Kristy in a contract-to-hire, customer service role with one of his clients.

“Her ability to learn new systems, her attention to detail and her accuracy made her a great fit for the role,” Scott said.

What does the client think about her? “Kristy fits our culture perfectly! We absolutely love her!”

Needless to say, they brought her onboard as a full-time, regular employee!

Kristy is really enjoying her new role. Not only is it a great opportunity, she loves the customer service aspect of the job. She said, “I love talking to people and helping them out.”

“After meeting her, I had no doubt we would find her a home quickly,” Scott said with happy confidence.

Kristy had this to say about her experience working with TERRA, and the fact that she had never partnered with a staffing agency before, “My experience was great. I couldn’t have asked for anything better. I would definitely recommend TERRA to friends.”

She also wanted to thank Scott, saying, “He was amazing.”
