California Paid Family Leave Employee Notification

All California TERRA employees may be eligible to apply for California Paid Family Leave (PFL). California PFL provides partial wage-replacement benefits to California workers who take time off from work for what matters most – caring for a seriously ill family member, bonding with a new child (including newly fostered and adopted children) or participating in a qualifying military event.

Here’s What You Need to Know

  • Provides up to eight weeks of partial-wage-replacement benefits.
  • Provides approximately 60%-70% of a worker’s salary during their leave.
  • It does not have to be taken all at once.
  • Program is funded through State Disability Insurance (SDI) tax withholdings.
  • You are most likely eligible if you’ve paid into SDI in the past 5-18 months.
  • Citizenship and immigrations status do not affect eligibility.
