Mandy had an extensive and successful 20+ year career in the Supermarket & Grocery industry.

But she found that she wasn’t receiving the support or work-life balance that she needed.

Although looking for a new opportunity was scary, Mandy knew she had a great skill set and was confident that she could find a job that was the right fit for her.

In July of 2017, she began her career with TERRA Staffing Group as a Recruiter in our Kirkland branch.

She was promoted various times and now oversees TERRA’s internal hiring as our Talent Acquisition Manager.

When Mandy isn’t working, she loves to travel and take on home remodeling projects.

She has lived in the Kirkland area since childhood and loves the beautiful scenery that comes with it!

Mandy also enjoys exploring the parks on Lake Washington and spending time in downtown Kirkland.

Tell me about your first job.

Like every teenage girl my age, babysitting! I also bagged groceries at the grocery store near my house.

What other professions would you like to try?

Professional athlete of some kind - make money by working out! Plus, I am pretty sure I would have a personal nutritionist and chef making all my meals.

If you could possess any super power, what would it be?

Teleportation - it would really cut down on airfare costs!

What do you enjoy most about working in the staffing industry?

Being able to connect with people every day and ultimately help them. Whether it's matching job seekers to the right job or making recruiting efforts a little easier for hiring managers.

Best career advice you've ever received?

“No one will look out for you but you.” It sounds a bit harsh, but my takeaway is that no one can read your mind. Only you can communicate to your manager what you need or want, whether it be more support or just a day off.
