Get to know me

Tell me about your first job?

When I was 15 years old, I had a summer job for two months taking tickets at the front gate of a medieval fair. This was my first real interaction with the public and customer service and it taught me that no matter happens, maintaining a happy face for the next customer is key to a positive experience for everyone.

What other professions would you like to try?

I would like to try Engineering Program Management; I always enjoy taking a project from start to finish and it would be an interesting implementation of my skill set. I would also like to try owning a farm some day; I really like animals and enjoy gardening.

If you could possess any super power, what would it be?

The ability to conjure items; it would be really cool to make lunch appear in front of me (among other things)!

What do you enjoy most about working in the staffing industry?

The variety! I love working on different tasks throughout the day, the competing demands on my time and having the opportunity to make such an impact with other organizations - and within my own. Not to mention getting the chance to tour different sites and see how differently every company works!

Best career advice you've ever received?

I once asked my father how he'd known that the engineering field was for him and he said, “It was just the right fit. I looked forward to going to work every day and was excited to take on new things. That’s what you should look for in your career.”
