TERRA Helped Me Continue a Successful Production Career When I Moved to Arizona

Larry Miles is a former Marine who had a well-established, successful production career in Wisconsin. He worked for the same employer for 16 years. It was more than a job for him – it was his home.

But home wasn’t the same without his family.

So, in October of 2017, Larry made the difficult decision to leave a job he loved, to be closer to those he loved in Arizona.

As for finding new employment? He wasn’t too worried. He was confident that a recruitment company could find him his next career once he relocated.

You see, Larry had worked with staffing agencies before. His job of 16 years, a job he loved, had actually started as a short-term assignment through a temp agency.

So, he did an internet search for local staffing firms and found TERRA.

Larry decided drop by the Phoenix office. He dressed to impress and had his resume in hand.

Recruiting Coordinator Jeniffer Toledo met with Larry and scheduled a full interview with him for the following day.

“I was very impressed with Larry’s attitude. He was friendly, respectful, and you could just tell that he was a reliable and caring individual,” Jeniffer said. “I was also very impressed with his longevity with his past employers.”

Since Larry was open to short-term projects, he was quickly placed on a 2-day assignment at a printing company doing material handling. The client liked Larry so much that they kept requesting him back.

And just like that, his short-term production assignment became an on-going position.

His supervisor said, “Larry did fabulous work on his first day. He was a hard-worker and I really liked his personality. We had some huge projects coming in so there was a lot of work for Larry.”

And we have great news to share! Larry has been converted to a full-time, regular employee!

We’re not surprised.

“He is one of the most reliable employees at the Phoenix office. Larry is great at communicating with us and following our processes,” Jeniffer said.

His supervisor couldn’t be happier to have Larry as a regular employee. “Larry Miles is a hustler – such great employee. He has completely changed this place around.”
