TERRA Found Me a Job and Gave Me a Phenomenal First Staffing Firm Experience

Ashley Wilson found herself unemployed for the first time since she was 15 years old. Needless to say she was upset and stressed.

A month of fruitless searching later, she came across a Craigslist ad that caught her eye.

She picked up the phone and scheduled an interview, despite her nervousness regarding never having worked with a staffing firm before.

Ashley interviewed at TERRA’s Beaverton location and in less than two weeks they were able to place her in a long-term, customer service position that she loves. Not only does she love it, her supervisors and customers love her! Ashley’s built such an excellent rapport with customers that they even bring her presents on a regular basis!

We asked Ashley to share her thoughts on her experience working with TERRA.

Tell us a little bit about you and your background.

I’m a small town, country girl who has always worked hard for everything she’s had. I grew up in a very outdoorsy family, always riding horses, hunting and fishing. I have two dogs that mean the world to me, Outlaw and Clutch, and a horse named Ash.  My free time right now consists of planning my wedding and spending time with my family.

How did you hear about TERRA? 

I lost my job as a Veterinary Receptionist in June of 2014.  It was a devastating time for me as I’ve been steadily employed since I was 15. After almost a month of being unemployed, I found myself browsing through Craigslist ads and saw there was an opening in McMinnville, which is near where I live. I called to make an appointment the following week, not really knowing much about what I was getting myself into. Up until the interview I’d never had any experiences with a hiring agency, but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to check it out. I’m very glad I pursued something new and am very pleased with how everything has panned out!

How did your experience with TERRA compare to what you expected or experienced from other staffing firms?

Having never worked with a staffing firm before, I didn’t know what to expect. But I found everyone extremely helpful and understanding, and they answered all of my questions. I cannot thank them enough for everything they have done.

Is there anyone specifically at TERRA you would like to thank?

Everyone at TERRA has been phenomenal! Sheliya Hood in particular has been amazing, always checking in and asking how everything is going. I truly feel like I gained a great friend from this experience!
