TERRA Found Me the “Right Fit” Fast!

When Wendelyn Leon’s contract job as a paraeducator came to an end, she decided that she wanted a change. Rather than return to education, she wanted a role that was more administrative in nature.

An online search led her to TERRA’s Tukwila office, where she interviewed with recruiter, Betty Dawson.

Upon meeting and speaking with Wendelyn, Betty knew just where to place her. One of her clients was seeking a temporary receptionist and she knew that Wendelyn’s friendly nature and strong communication skills would be an excellent fit.

Betty presented Wendelyn to her client and in less than two weeks after meeting with Betty, Wendelyn was back to work.

But wait, it gets better.

What had started as a temporary position turned into full-time, regular employment for Wendelyn!

Betty said, “They liked her so much that they didn’t want to lose her and decided to hire her on as a regular employee!”

We asked Wendelyn to share her thoughts on her experience with TERRA.

Tell us a little about you and your background.

I graduated from California State University, Bakersfield with a degree in Communications. I am very customer service focused and enjoy managing an office. I have worked with contracted companies assisting with office administration and community outreach. In my spare time, I enjoy playing with my fur-baby, Stella, and exploring the Pacific Northwest.

How did you hear about TERRA?

I did a search for staffing agencies in the South King County area and after reading about TERRA Staffing Group on their website, I knew I had to send my resume over. I love that they were interested in finding the right fit for me!

How did your experience with TERRA compare to what you expected or experienced from other staffing firms?

This was my first time successfully using a staffing agency. I expected to have an interview and wait a while to hear about a job opportunity. However, that was not the case with TERRA Staffing Group. I went in for an interview on Monday and had a job lined up by Friday. TERRA Staffing was extremely professional and quick when it came to finding me the right fit.

Is there anyone specifically at TERRA you would like to thank?

I would like to personally thank Betty Dawson at the Tukwila office. She is amazing and without her I would be stuck in a rut!

What else would you like us to know?

I believe that the “Right Fit” method of placement is the best fit!
