TERRA Had Options and Interviews for Me in Less Than a Week!

Lauren Dike came to TERRA after searching fruitlessly on her own for a job that she would find fulfilling.

She met with Tacoma Staffing Manager, Tabitha Delaire.

Tabitha had this to say about their initial meeting, “I knew Lauren was top talent right away.  I featured her in our Talent Showcase and then placed her on a ‘temp’ assignment that turned into a four month assignment!”

According to Tabitha, that particular client was devastated that they couldn’t keep Lauren forever.

Fortunately, when the assignment ended, Tabitha was able to place Lauren in a contract-to-hire position, and we are thrilled to report that Lauren was recently converted to a full-time, regular employee of that company!

We asked Lauren to share her perspective on her experience working with TERRA.

Tell us a little bit about you and your background.

Over the last four years, I’ve been on and off pursuing my degree in education. But after spending some time working in the schools and classrooms, I suddenly felt more driven to do the “behind the scenes” work and help fix some of the problems I saw arising in our public school systems. So I decided that working in an administrative capacity was the path for me! That’s where TERRA comes in.

How did you hear about TERRA? 

After spending a long time looking for a job that would not only give me skills and practice I needed for my future, but that would also be fulfilling mentally and financially, I saw a job listing for TERRA. I applied immediately, and within days, I was called and asked to come in for an interview.

How did your experience with TERRA compare to what you expected or experienced from other staffing firms?

I wasn’t sure what to expect; I thought it would be an “on-call” basis where I would just show up and work for a week or two at a time when a business needed a fill in. Little did I know that TERRA worked with a variety of companies all over the area, looking for long term and permanent administrative workers! Instead of waiting around for an assignment, my recruiter had options and interviews for me in less than a week.

Is there anyone specifically at TERRA you would like to thank?

Tabitha Delaire! She was excellent. I got quick results and she was always really communicative – and ended up placing me at my current job which I couldn’t love more!

What else would you like us to know?

Anytime a friend of mine talks about needing a new job, I always refer them to TERRA. It’s a great option for whatever you’re looking for; you can trust you’re going to be taken care of by the staff and that the companies you’re on assignment with are reputable, reliable companies. There is no guess-work, no waiting around wondering… it was a great experience.
