My New Job Was the Answer to My Prayers

Let’s be honest. Not everyone loves their job.

But when you have bills to pay and need steady income, you literally can’t afford to be picky.

Richard Duenas understood this all too well.

Richard was in a job he didn’t particularly enjoy for nearly two years. And though it wasn’t ideal, he needed the money.

Not quite ready to look for something new, but open to other opportunities, he decided to share his resume online and see what happened.

As fate would have it, West Phoenix Branch Manager, Stephanie Rady, came across Richard’s resume while doing some research for a client looking to hire a Production Mixer.

She reached out to Richard, and after interviewing him, Stephanie realized that his experience was right in line with what the client was looking for.  Not only did he have over 14 years of warehouse experience, he also had some previous experience mixing chemicals, which was critical to success in the role.

Once the client met Richard, they agreed that he was exactly who they were looking for.

“They thought he had the skills to do the job. He also had the exact personality and work ethic they were wanting for the role!” said Stephanie.

Richard’s strong work ethic and great attitude made him an ideal employee. The client wasted no time and converted him to a full-time, regular employee earlier than scheduled!

He is incredibly happy in his new role and shared his thoughts with us.

“I’ve worked with other agencies in the past, but TERRA was more efficient, more thorough and quicker to follow-up.  I know agencies work with lots of people, but Stephanie always made me feel important. He continued, “I love the job, the work I am doing. I love that I am making more money. Every day I get up happy and thankful to go to work. What Stephanie has done for me has changed my life for the better… my prayers were answered.”

For job seekers struggling to find work, or for others who find themselves in a job they don’t like, Richard had some advice.

“Make first impressions your best impressions. Do your best on every job. And never give up. Even if you don’t love your job, or it’s not the job you want.  At the right time, the right place, the right job will come. And you’ll know when it does. You’ll be happy to get up and go to work, just like me.”
