Sometimes one door closes so another one, a better one, can open.
Valerie Hansen worked for a printing company for six years doing some customer service and project management work, and was finally taking on more bookkeeping and accounting responsibilities – exactly where she wanted her career to go.
Sadly, things took an unexpected turn and she was unfortunately laid off.
“It was devastating,” Valerie said.
Valerie began searching for job opportunities. She also shared her resume online in hopes that it would help her get in front of employers faster.

In addition to her great attitude, she also had some experience working in the printing industry, and my client was a large printing and packaging company.”
Sure enough, Becky was right. The client liked Valerie and felt that she would be a great asset to the team.

Though Valerie was meant to start as a temporary employee, she was brought on as a full-time, regular employee after only 3 weeks as a temp! Valerie is happy with her new job. “I love helping people and solving problems. And I love that the work I do can help the business grow and be successful.”
