TERRA Found Me a Great Job Within an Hour of My Initial Interview

Adrian Hansen had over 10 years of call center experience under his belt.

He started out on phones, then moved his way up to a supervisory role, and then into resource planning and analysis.

Despite enjoying the predictability of the job and proving successful in the field, when he found himself in search of a new job opportunity, he knew that he wanted to try something different.

He shared, “Ten years in an industry can get dull.”

Adrian applied online for a position through TERRA’s Kirkland office and met with Recruiter, Yevon Yoo.

There were many things that Yevon took always from her initial conversation with Adrian.

“He was very pleasant and had a humorous demeanor, but was always incredibly professional. In talking to him, I learned that he had strong technical skills, was very detail-oriented and had experience working with high-volume data,” she said. “His ability to manage multiple programs at once, his strong communication skills, his tech-savviness, and his positive attitude made him an incredible candidate.”

Yevon thought that he would be a great fit for one of her clients, who was looking for an Inventory Control Specialist to join their team.

“He wanted a new opportunity with a company that made him feel valued,” she shared. “I knew that he would be a perfect culture and personality fit for my client and that his hard work would not go unnoticed.”

Yevon wasted no time in telling her client about Adrian.

“I presented him to my client while he was still finishing up paperwork in our office!” she exclaimed happily. “This all happened late Friday afternoon and he was offered to start the following Monday!”

Adrian shared, “It felt like I was placed within a half an hour!”

The position started as a temp-to-hire role and we are thrilled to share that Adrian has since been converted to a full-time, regular employee! Not only that, he received a bump in pay, too!

Adrian is happy in his role. He likes the environment, the slower-paced nature of the job, the predictability of the role, but mostly he is happy that he is doing something different.

Regarding his experience working with TERRA, Adrian said, “I had been out of work for 5 months, going through several other staffing services… months of bad offers way below my qualifications or too far above… going long periods without hearing from them. I then approached TERRA Staffing Group. I was contacted right away after submitting my resume, and came in to meet my recruiter. Yevon was so sunny and cheerful – it was a welcome change! You can tell she loves her work and was invested in me from the start. I was put to work and connected with an employer even before I left the building an hour later. I started work the next week.”

He added, “I have found a happy home for myself.”

Adrian had more to say about Yevon. “She has such a great attitude. She gets you psyched to work. Her enthusiasm is infectious.” He also wanted to thank Melanie Padgett, Kirkland’s Front Office Coordinator. “Melanie is always sweet and helpful.”

We couldn’t be happier for Adrian and are thankful that he allowed us the opportunity to play a part in his story.
