TERRA Found Me a Job That Allows Me to Provide Better Opportunities For My Family

Erik Vargas was struggling to find steady work while living in Los Angeles.

But then he was given the type of motivation that causes people to achieve great things – he found out he was going to be a dad!

Erik decided to pick up and move his family to Arizona to find a better life for his child. While doing an online job search, he came across an ad for warehousing opportunities on TERRA’s website and decided to apply.

He was called in for an interview at TERRA’s Mesa office.

Melissa McCoy, Area Manager, thought Erik had a great personality, but it was his experience working for a residential moving company that really stood out. He was capable of lifting heavy objects, and he had all the skills that moving companies look for.

Within a week of his TERRA interview, Melissa had him working for a local moving company.

Erik noted that his experience working for this new company was unlike anything he had encountered before. And his employer trusted him in a way that made him feel proud of the work he was doing.

“Not only do I get to work indoors, but I’m also able to learn about the company and do a little bit of everything. They even allow me to set my own schedule!” Erik shared.

It was clearly the right fit on both sides. And so it should come as no surprise that the client decided to bring Erik on as a full-time, regular employee!

Erik loved his experience working with TERRA so much that he went on to refer his younger brother to TERRA.

And we are so excited to share that his brother was also hired on by the very same moving company!

Erik appreciates being able to provide better opportunities for his family. And though he works alone most of the time, he gets to see his younger brother every day at work.

Regarding his experience with TERRA, Erik shared, “Thanks to TERRA, I’m doing well. It’s the best staffing firm I ever worked with! I especially want to thank Melissa. She really helped me when work was slow, and she was terrific about answering all of my questions!”
