TERRA Found Me the Perfect Fit Right Away

When something feels right, it probably is. And it was that gut-feeling that led Megan Otterstrom to leave Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she was born and raised, and move to Seattle, Washington.

“I was able to do a lot of traveling and often came to Seattle. I was hooked – the weather, the people, the sports, but above all the arts. I knew one day I wanted to land here,” Megan began. “Years later, I made the leap. I packed up a few things, along with my grumpy old cat, and hit the road. No job, no idea what I had waiting for me here, but I knew I wanted to make the jump. So, well, I jumped.”

Once in Seattle, she immediately began searching for a team of recruiters she could partner with on her job search.

After all, she had found her most recent job in Tulsa by going to a temp agency directly after graduating from Oklahoma City University. She worked for that cross-country pipeline company for 11 years, doing damage prevention. And it was in that job that she discovered she had a passion for keeping people safe.

Unfortunately, the recruiters she was working with were not matching her to the right jobs.

Megan said, “I knew I had luck with my last temp agency so I literally googled ‘best temp agency in Seattle’ and TERRA came up first. I sent in my application and immediately had an in office interview with Jennifer. I came in very nervous, thinking if I couldn’t find a job soon, I’d have to return home. And she was wonderful. So enthusiastic and cheerful. I came out refreshed and thankful. I knew I had someone great in my corner to finally help.”
