Thank You TERRA for Working on My Behalf – I Am Very Happy with My New Job

Christina Bryant has worked with youth programs for over eight years. She recently graduated with a Master’s degree in Organizational Behavior and is passionate about helping organizations and nonprofits realize their potential and achieve their missions.

When she relocated to Washington in the fall of 2015, she turned to TERRA for help with her job search and was actually brought on as a temporary Recruiting Coordinator for our Kirkland office, by Branch Manager, Morgan Mason.

Christina shared, “TERRA was a great resource for orienting me in the local job market… I got to see the operations from the inside. It was a great organization to be a part of so when I wanted to look for my next role in 2016, I knew they would be a helpful resource.”

TERRA’s offices often work together to help people find the right fit. So when Seattle Recruiter, Jennifer Alongi, had an opportunity with a local nonprofit, she reached out to Christina.

Jenn said, “I saw Christina as a great fit for this role because she displayed all the hard skills necessary to do the job, but also truly had the passion and drive to work for a nonprofit. I could also tell that she was a kind and nurturing person – which was exactly what this role needed.”

Jenn arranged an interview for Christina and her client, and things went really well. So well, in fact, that the client offered her full-time, regular employment!

“The client loved that she had experience working internationally. They also loved that she was very friendly. Anyone would feel comfortable talking to her. Christina also had past experience and skills that could be very beneficial for a nonprofit to grow and develop,” Jenn said.

She added, “On her third day of work, I called to speak to her manager. I did not tell Christina that it was me on the phone. She was so professional. It sounded like she had worked there for over a year! I may have done a little happy dance!”

We asked Christina about her experience working with TERRA.

“I am very happy with my current role and appreciate all the effort TERRA did on my behalf,” Christina stated.

She also wanted to thank two members of the TERRA team specifically. “I would really like to thank Morgan Mason as she was able to see the potential in the way I talked about my experience and education despite the fact that I didn’t know what to highlight or emphasize… her honesty was very appealing and made a great deal of difference in the way I approached future opportunities… I would also like to thank Jennifer Alongi for her tireless effort in helping me to secure a new role. She took the time to get to know my experience and advocate on my behalf…”
