Thank You TERRA for Finding Me a Job That Fills Me with Pride

After graduating from high school, Linda Than began working in food production, specifically seafood. She spent many years working in that field, but was always on the lookout for something better.

Her goal: to provide a better future for herself and her family.

She briefly worked jobs in other industries, like fast food and customer service. Unfortunately, no job truly made her feel happy.

But things would change for Linda upon visiting TERRA’s Tukwila office and meeting with Recruiter, Amanda Roberts.

Amanda was looking for a temporary customer service rep for one of her clients. To them, the right personality was more important than having experience in the industry.

And Linda made a great impression on Amanda. She shared, “Linda was extremely personable. Willing to jump in with both feet and hit the ground running… I knew she would be able to handle any customer scenario.”

Amanda arranged an interview for Linda, thinking she was exactly what the client was looking for.

Linda was both pleased and a little surprised. “She still gave me a chance, even though I never worked this kind of job before,” Linda said.

And the client took a liking to Linda very quickly, stating, “She came across as very genuine and eager.”

About 20 minutes after Linda’s interview, the client called Amanda and said, “She’s absolutely it.”

Needless to say, they offered Linda the job. And three months later, they brought Linda on as a full-time, regular employee!

Linda was deeply touched by her entire experience. She shared that she began to cry when she told her family. “My husband and parents were all so proud of me,” she said.

After struggling to make ends meet and dealing with her personal medical issues, she finally felt that she had succeeded.

When asked what she enjoyed about her new job, she quickly and enthusiastically responded with “Everything!” She has her own office, wonderful coworkers and a job title that she can wear with pride.

Linda was thankful to everyone she met at the Tukwila office and has already recommended TERRA to people she knew were looking for help with their job search.

But she had some extra special words for Amanda: “I wanted to say thank you for finding me my dream job. I always wanted an office job… and now I’m being trained in inside sales. I couldn’t ask for anything better. LOVE the people I work with. LOVE the energy here… LOVE how they make everything flexible with work and family… I JUST LOVE IT HERE!”
