Thank You TERRA for Working on My Behalf to Find Me a Job I Love

Like many of us, Scott Grese could relate.

Scott’s professional background included customer service, sales, handling claims, and writing estimates for car repairs. While he was comfortable in all these roles, he wanted to move away from customer-facing jobs.

He knew it was time for a change. But deep down he was nervous about leaving a good job to make the leap into a new profession.

Step in, Amber Low, TERRA’s Technical Division Manager. She reached out to Scott before he had even begun searching for a new job.

You see, sometimes job seekers seek us and sometimes we seek them, and Amber’s research had led her to Scott. She spoke to him about a Product Development Coordinator role she was working on. She thought that his skills and experience made him a great fit.

Scott was tentative. He wasn’t sure if this role would be a better fit than his current one. Not only that, Scott had never worked with a recruiter before. Plus, he self-described himself as having an “80’s mentality.” He believed in meeting people in person, shaking hands and making eye contact. Being contacted out-of-the-blue by someone he had never met was new ground for him.

But Scott decided to take a leap and work with Amber.

And he is so glad he did.

Less than three weeks later, Scott started his new job!

He now works with a team developing board games – something he enjoys and is fascinated by! He appreciates learning about, and being involved with, the entire creative process.

He really couldn’t be more pleased.

“I was really lucky to have Amber,” Scott shared. “She has been incredible! Even after I got the position, I’ve already had two conversations with her. Her follow-through has been amazing!”
