TERRA Helped Me Find a Great Career Opportunity – I Am Excited About My Future!

Jennifer Dunlap has held a variety of roles throughout her career, including restaurant manager, event and conference coordinator, account executive, administrative assistant, and office manager.

“I tend to thrive when making order out of chaos,” she said, sharing what she enjoyed about her previous positions.

But she was not thriving in her current role.

“Being in a job where I felt I had nowhere to go, nothing to learn, and that wasn’t a cultural fit wore me down,” Jennifer stated.

It was time for her to move on.

She decided to reach out to a staffing agency in the Seattle area for help with her job search.

Unfortunately, the staffing firms she reached out to were of little help to her, despite her doing everything they asked of her. She would interview, fill out forms, do testing, and be told she’d hear back from them soon.

“I rarely heard anything and continued the job search on my own when I had time,” Jennifer said.

She knew that her employer used TERRA’s services to staff its open positions and decided to give TERRA a try. She reached out to TERRA’s Seattle office and spoke to Staffing Manager, Mark Eckroth.

Mark was impressed by Jennifer’s professionalism and her ability to build strong relationships with clients. He knew that in order for her to flourish, she needed to be in a role that offered her the ability to utilize her skills.

Two weeks later, Mark reached out to Jennifer, letting her know that he had an interview set up for her with a company he thought would be right for her.

And we’re happy to say that immediately after the interview she was offered the job!

Mark shared, “The client was really impressed by Jennifer. She has a great way of being able to talk to anyone, on any level, and make them feel important. With Jennifer, it’s never about her. It’s always about the person she’s speaking with.”

Jennifer also had some nice things to say about Mark. “I’ve said it so many times to him and am happy to say it again, ‘thank you Mark!’ You were patient with me, confident about the position being a good fit for me, and you gently gave me the push I needed to move toward a much better opportunity.”

She added, “An opportunity to have a new job in an unknown industry and a chance to build a career has given me hope and excitement about my future. Something I haven’t had in a very long time.”
